About Me

I work with web technologies primarily focusing on microservice design and delivery. I believe in the value of delivering stable and effective services for the products people use every day. I started my journey into coding in elementary school as part of my fascination with my father's job as developer for a payment processing system and continue to learn more everyday. I went to McMaster University in Hamilton and obtained a degree in Computer Science.

I live in Cayuga with my girlfriend and our two cats. It's a nice quiet town and I benefit from having a large family in the area. Coming from a farming background my family tends to be very handy to have around.

I'm a tinkerer and enjoy the process of taking something apart to figure out how it works. Whether it's a computer, a sink, or a car, I'm hooked on the rush of not knowing if I'm going to be able to put it back together again.

In my spare time I volunteer as an executive of the Niagara Hamilton PPBSO branch. I maintain the website, help to plan events and competitions, as well as record and post videos for our YouTube page. I'm also a long time member of the Hamilton Police Pipe and Drum band. We perform throughout the year with a focus on competing in the summer highland games across Ontario. Just for fun I like to mess around with my electronic drum kit. I like to participate in casual sports when I can including volleyball, baseball, and golf.
